Parental Involvement in Children School Learning:The Case of Community Secondary School In Temeke District
This study examines parental involvement in children school learning in community secondary schools and particularly addresses the questions on the influence of effective parent’s involvement in children’s school learning in community secondary schools in Temeke District. The study adopts Epstein’s school-family/community partnerships model that focuses on stakeholder relationships and the influence on children school learning. The theory assumes that since parents know their children’s educational aspirations and how to drive them to success, schools can decide to make choices that are either positive or negative to children school learning, by either drawing them together or not.
