@@ Lately, the phrase "Ponzi scheme" has been appearing left and right in speeches and newspapers. Of course, the scheme was named after Charles Ponzi, who immigrated to the US from Europe in the early 1900s. While living in Boston in 1916, he convinced many people to let him invest their money and promised them quick 50 percent retums, in reality, he never made any real investments but just paid profits to the previous investors with the money from later investors.
