New Trends of the Kurdish Issue in the Light of "Arab Spring"
The Kurds are an important part of the Middle East history and culture.Like the Arabs,the Persians,the Turks and the Jews,the Kurds are a major ethnic group of the Middle East,but also one of the few in the world that have not yet established their own nation-state.Prior to the First World War,the Kurds had mainly lived in Iran and the Ottoman Empire.After World War One,with the Ottoman Empire collapsed,the colonialists of the UK,France and other European countries subsequently carved up the empire.
